What Is a Disc-Type Check Valve?
A check valve (non-return valve) is a valve type that allows fluid to flow in only one direction, preventing backflow and protecting pumps, compressors, and piping from water hammer. The VR302 series disc-type check valves offer a compact, lightweight, and fast-closing solution with a spring-loaded disc.
It is used in heating-cooling lines, food facilities, marine applications, and general industrial processes.
Technical Specifications
Offered in the DN15-DN300 size range with wafer (between-flange) installation compatible with PN10/16/25/40 and ANSI 150 flange dimensions. Kv values range from 4 m³/h for DN15 up to 867 m³/h for DN300.
The body can be brass, GGG40 ductile cast iron, AISI316 stainless steel, or super duplex; the disc and spring can be selected from AISI304, AISI316, or super duplex material. Cracking pressure ranges from 7-68 mbar depending on flow orientation; it drops to 4-38 mbar with the springless option.
